Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of VoltaAMP, an electric-vehicle charging companion for Jordan. Please read them before you rely on VoltaAMP to find a charger or plan a journey.
Effective 7 October 2026
1.About these terms
VoltaAMP is a bilingual web application that helps drivers in Jordan find electric-vehicle charging stations, plan journeys with charging stops, and follow turn-by-turn driving guidance.
VoltaAMP is operated by ALMA Studio, which publishes it on Google Play under the name ALMA Studios. In these terms, "VoltaAMP", "we", and "us" refer to ALMA Studio as the operator of the service.
By opening VoltaAMP, creating an account, or submitting any contribution, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These terms apply together with the Privacy Policy, the Cookie and Storage Notice, and the Community Content Policy. Where a specific policy is more detailed, that policy governs its subject.
2.Eligibility
You may browse the public map, the station directory, and the EV service directory without an account.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or contribute content. VoltaAMP does not offer accounts to anyone under 18, with or without a guardian's consent; an account found to belong to a minor is closed and its data deleted. Reading the public map does not require an account.
You must hold a valid driving licence and comply with Jordanian traffic law when using any driving or navigation feature.
3.Your account
Accounts are personal. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you register, for keeping your password confidential, and for every action taken through your account.
Email verification is mandatory before an account can contribute community content. You can review and revoke active sessions at any time from your security and privacy centre.
- Do not share, sell, or transfer your account.
- Do not create an account on behalf of another person without their authorisation.
- Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4.Charging data and verification states
VoltaAMP combines first-party records, publicly published regulator data, operator-supplied details, AI-assisted research, and community reports. Every record carries a visible verification state so you can judge how much weight to give it.
A record labelled AI-added · Unverified has not been confirmed by VoltaAMP, by the operator, or by a regulator. Connector counts, power ratings, pricing, and opening hours on such records are indicative only and may be wrong or out of date.
VoltaAMP does not publish live connector availability. Availability figures, where shown, come from short-lived community check-ins and reflect what a member observed, not a real-time feed from the charger.
- Confirm pricing with the operator before charging.
- Confirm access rules, opening hours, and whether permission is required before travelling.
- Treat every unverified record as a lead to check, not a promise.
5.Route planning and navigation
The route planner produces a conservative estimate based on the vehicle details you enter, the road network returned by our routing provider, and the charging stops you select. Real-world consumption varies with speed, load, weather, elevation, tyre condition, battery age, and driving style.
Turn-by-turn guidance is an aid, not a substitute for attention. Road signs, road markings, closures, and the instructions of police or road authorities always take priority over anything VoltaAMP shows or says.
Do not interact with the screen while driving. Set up your route before you move, and stop safely if you need to change it.
- Never follow a manoeuvre that would be unsafe or unlawful.
- Keep a charge reserve above what VoltaAMP suggests when travelling in unfamiliar or remote areas.
- Guidance depends on device location accuracy and mobile coverage, both of which can fail without warning.
6.Community contributions
Verified members can report road events, publish short-lived station check-ins, confirm or dispute other members' contributions, and submit station corrections or missing stations.
You must only report what you have genuinely observed. Contributions are reviewed against the Community Content Policy, and confidence in a contribution is calculated from independent, trust-weighted votes rather than from a single opinion.
You keep ownership of what you submit. By submitting it, you grant VoltaAMP a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce, translate, adapt, publish, and distribute that contribution as part of the service, including after your account is closed where the contribution has already shaped a public record.
- You may not vote on your own contribution.
- You may resolve or withdraw your own active reports.
- Contributions may be edited, expired, removed, or restored by a VoltaAMP administrator.
7.Acceptable use
You agree to use VoltaAMP lawfully and in a way that does not damage the service or other people.
- Do not submit false, misleading, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or unlawful content.
- Do not upload personal information about other people without a lawful basis.
- Do not scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract VoltaAMP data without written permission.
- Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, bot protection, authentication, or authorisation checks.
- Do not probe, scan, or test the security of the service without written authorisation.
- Do not use VoltaAMP to build a competing dataset from our first-party records.
- Do not use Driver network or any other feature to stalk, monitor, or locate a person without their agreement.
8.Sponsored placement
Some charging stations are shown in a separate, clearly labelled sponsored list above the public directory. Sponsored placement affects position and prominence only.
Paying for placement never changes a station's verification state, never suppresses community reports about that station, and never causes another station to be hidden. Only a VoltaAMP administrator can grant or remove premium placement.
9.Businesses listed on VoltaAMP
EV repair shops, diagnostics providers, tyre and accessory retailers, dealerships, and towing and breakdown businesses are listed as a convenience.
A listing is not an endorsement, a recommendation, or a warranty. Any contract you enter with a listed business is between you and that business. VoltaAMP is not a party to it and is not responsible for the goods or services supplied.
10.Home charger rentals
Members can list a charger at their home for other members to use. VoltaAMP connects hosts and drivers; it is not a party to any arrangement between them, and it gives no warranty on a listed charger.
Until the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) confirms the rules for charging at a home for a fee, listings are free of charge: a host may not ask for or accept anything in return for charging, in money or in kind. The host is responsible for electrical safety and for complying with Jordanian law, including EMRC's rules on charging and electricity. No payment passes through VoltaAMP, and listings may not contain bank or payment details.
VoltaAMP provides no insurance for charging sessions, vehicles, chargers, homes, or any other property. Hosts and drivers arrange their own cover.
Every listing is reviewed before it appears, and a host's exact address and phone number are released only to members the host approves.
11.Driver network
Driver network lets members share their live location with people they invite and send each other emoji from a fixed set. Share only with people you know, and share only your own location: never set up a device or an account so that someone can be located without knowing it.
Do not use Driver network to follow, monitor, intimidate, or harass anyone, or to locate a person who has not agreed to it. We end access for, and may suspend, accounts that do, and we cooperate with Jordanian authorities that present a valid legal order.
Live positions depend on the other person's device and connection and may be out of date or approximate. Do not rely on Driver network for safety-critical decisions, and do not use it while it would distract you from driving.
The leaderboard counts community contributions only. Trying to inflate it with false reports or coordinated votes breaches these terms.
12.Intellectual property
The VoltaAMP name, logo, interface, design, source code, and first-party database are owned by VoltaAMP and protected by applicable law.
Third-party map data, routing results, fonts, and libraries remain the property of their owners and are used under their own licences. The Data and Attribution page lists them and the licence each one is used under.
13.Third-party services
VoltaAMP depends on services it does not control, including its hosting platform, its managed database, its basemap tiles, and its search and routing provider. Several of these run on free plans with no service-level agreement.
VoltaAMP is not liable for interruptions, degradation, or data errors originating with those providers, though we will make reasonable efforts to restore service or to replace a provider that becomes unsuitable.
14.Suspension and termination
We may warn an account, temporarily suspend it, or permanently suspend it where these terms or the Community Content Policy are breached. Serious or repeated breaches, and any attempt to manipulate community confidence, may lead to immediate permanent suspension.
The Community Content Policy explains how reports are handled and the rule under which repeated breaches lead to automatic suspension and then removal of the account.
Every moderation action is recorded in an immutable audit trail. You can close your own account at any time from your security and privacy centre.
15.Disclaimers
VoltaAMP is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for any particular purpose.
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or currency of charging station data, EV service data, road events, check-ins, routing results, or estimated ranges.
VoltaAMP is not an emergency service. If anyone is in danger, call 911.
16.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Jordanian law, VoltaAMP is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, nor for loss of profit, revenue, data, or opportunity arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and liability for fraud.
17.Changes
We may change the service, add or withdraw features, or update these terms. We announce a change that materially affects your rights in the app, and by email once email delivery is active, at least 14 days before it takes effect, and every version shows the date it takes effect.
Continuing to use VoltaAMP after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
18.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The competent courts of Amman have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection right you have where you live.
These terms are published in Arabic and English. Both texts have equal standing; if they differ, the Arabic text prevails in Jordan.
19.Contact
VoltaAMP is operated by ALMA Studio. Questions about these terms can be sent through the channels listed on the Contact page.
