Changes to our terms and policies

Every change to VoltaAMP's legal pages, newest first. Material changes are announced in the app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect; clarifications take effect when they are published.

  1. Takes effect on 18 October 2026

    Material change

    From 18 October 2026 VoltaAMP keeps a sign-in and posting log: the account, network address, and time of each sign-in and each published item, for 12 months, also after an account is deleted. It holds no content text and is handed over only against a valid Jordanian legal order.

  2. In effect since 7 October 2026

    Material change

    Home charger listings are free of charge until Jordan's Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) confirms the rules for charging at a home for a fee: hosts may not ask for or accept anything in return for charging.

    This change took effect without the usual 14-day notice because it affected no member at the time.

  3. In effect since 6 October 2026

    Clarification

    Explains what happens when the date of birth in a profile shows that a member is under 18: the date is not saved, the account is suspended with a statement of reasons that can be appealed within 14 days, and the account and its content are then deleted. Moderators apply the same rule when a report or a message shows that a member is under 18.

  4. In effect since 5 October 2026

    Clarification

    Explains what VoltaAMP keeps when you write to us through the Contact page or another channel — your message, contact details, our answer, and how the case was closed — and for how long, and how requests from authorities are recorded and when you are told about them.

  5. In effect since 4 October 2026

    Clarification

    Explains how safety reports are handled within 24 hours, how to take an incident to the police, and how statements of reasons and in-app appeals work; lists fraud and impersonation as prohibited; and states that VoltaAMP provides no insurance for home charger rentals. The Privacy Policy lists the statements of reasons, appeals, and safety card records this adds.

  6. In effect since 3 October 2026

    Clarification

    Explains that Netlify works out your approximate country and region from your network address, which VoltaAMP uses only to decide whether it may offer the satellite map type. Nothing is stored.

  7. In effect since 2 October 2026

    Material change

    Adds Driver network: live location sharing with people you choose, emoji messages, and the opt-in monthly leaderboard. All of it stays off unless you turn it on.

    This change took effect without the usual 14-day notice because it affected no member at the time.
