Frequently asked questions

Short answers about charging data, routes, accounts, and privacy. If something is missing, tell us.

Charging and stations

Why do some stations say AI-added · Unverified?

That label means the record was researched from a traceable public source and has not been confirmed by VoltaAMP, the operator, or a regulator.

It is published because an unverified lead is more useful than a blank map, but treat its connectors, pricing, and hours as indicative and confirm before you rely on them.

Does VoltaAMP show live connector availability?

No. VoltaAMP has no live feed from any charger in Jordan.

Availability figures come from short-lived check-ins published by members who were at the station, and are labelled as such.

A station is missing. How do I add it?

Use the report page and choose Add a missing station. Place the pin precisely and describe what you saw.

It goes to a private moderation queue and does not appear publicly until it is reviewed.

The price or opening hours are wrong.

Open the station from the directory and use Report a station issue. Corrections are reviewed before any public record changes.

What are sponsored stations?

Charging operators can pay for placement in a separate, clearly labelled list above the directory.

Sponsorship affects position only. It never changes a verification state, hides another station, or suppresses community reports.

Your vehicle and routes

Do I need an account to save my car?

No. Your vehicle is stored on your device and works immediately.

Signing in synchronises it to your account so it follows you to other devices, and lets you keep a primary vehicle plus up to four more.

Why is the estimated range shorter than my car claims?

VoltaAMP plans conservatively on purpose. Real consumption changes with speed, load, weather, elevation, and battery age, and running out is far worse than arriving with charge to spare.

How many charging stops can a route have?

Up to five charging stops on a single planned route.

Are the driving instructions available in Arabic?

Yes. Our routing provider does not offer Arabic instructions, so VoltaAMP writes each manoeuvre sentence itself from the numeric manoeuvre code through its own bilingual catalogue.

Guidance says location is unavailable. What now?

Turn-by-turn guidance needs device location permission. If it is denied or unavailable, VoltaAMP says so plainly and falls back to the planned line rather than pretending to follow you.

Accounts and community

Why must I verify my email?

Verification is what separates a browsing visitor from a contributor. It is required before you can publish road events or check-ins, or vote on someone else's.

Email delivery is not yet active, because VoltaAMP does not have a verified sending domain configured. Contributions are unavailable until it is.

Can I confirm my own report?

No. Self-voting is rejected by the server. Confidence only moves on independent votes from other members.

How is community confidence calculated?

It starts from a neutral position, needs at least three independent votes before it moves meaningfully, and weights each vote by the voter's demonstrated reliability.

Can I withdraw a report I published?

Yes. You can resolve or withdraw your own active reports, and your profile keeps a private history of them.

Privacy and data

Does VoltaAMP track me?

No. There is no advertising network, no third-party analytics, and no cross-site tracking.

Locate me runs entirely in your browser. Route planning and guidance send the coordinates needed to calculate a route, and VoltaAMP does not build a location history from them.

Can I get a copy of my data?

Yes. Your security and privacy centre lets you download your personal data at any time.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, permanently and by yourself, from your security and privacy centre.

Public records that were already corrected on the strength of an approved contribution remain, without your identity attached.

Does the offline mode store my account pages?

No. The offline cache holds the public map shell, build output, and basemap tiles only. Account, profile, admin, and API responses are never cached.
