Cookie and Storage Notice

VoltaAMP stores a small amount of data in your browser. This page lists every item, why it exists, and how to remove it.

Effective 1 October 2026

1.Strictly necessary cookies

A session cookie is set when you sign in. It identifies your session so pages that require an account can recognise you, and it is removed when you sign out or revoke the session.

Session caching is deliberately disabled, so revoking a session or suspending an account takes effect on the very next request rather than after a delay.

2.Local storage on your device

Local storage keeps small values in your browser. VoltaAMP uses it so the app is usable without an account and stays usable offline.

  • Your vehicle profile, so station compatibility and route planning work before you sign in.
  • Interface state such as the last map view and dismissed notices.
  • While trip recording is on and guidance is running, the drive recorded so far, until it is uploaded to your trip history.

3.Offline caches

VoltaAMP is an installable progressive web app. Its service worker caches the public map shell, the application's own build output, and basemap tiles so a previously explored area still opens without a connection.

The cache is deliberately limited. Account pages, profile pages, admin pages, and API responses are never stored, so nothing personal survives on a shared device.

4.Bot protection

Public forms that are open to abuse, such as station reports and reports from signed-out readers, are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile once it is switched on. The check issues a short-lived token that our server validates. It is used to tell a person from an automated script, not to profile you.

5.Managing what is stored

You can clear VoltaAMP's storage at any time from your browser's site settings, usually under a heading such as Cookies and site data. Removing storage signs you out, clears your locally held vehicle, and empties the offline cache.

Uninstalling the app from your device removes its caches as well.

6.Changes

If VoltaAMP ever adds a category of storage that is not strictly necessary, this notice will be updated first and consent will be requested before it is used.
