How VoltaAMP works
From finding a charger to arriving at it, here is what VoltaAMP does at each step and what it needs from you.
1.Find charging
The map shows published charging stations across Jordan. Filter by DC or AC, by connector type, by whether a station is open, and by availability reported through recent check-ins.
The station directory carries the same records as a readable list, which is also the accessible equivalent of the map.
2.Tell VoltaAMP about your car
Add your make, model, usable battery capacity, realistic range, and the connectors your car takes without an adapter. VoltaAMP then marks which stations your vehicle can actually use.
Your vehicle stays on your device. If you sign in, it synchronises to your account so it follows you across devices, and you can keep a primary vehicle plus up to four more.
3.Plan a route with charging stops
Enter where you are starting and where you are going, your departure charge, and the reserve you want to arrive with. VoltaAMP calculates a driving route and suggests charging stops along it — up to five.
Estimates are deliberately conservative, and every suggested stop keeps its verification state visible so you can see which stops are confirmed and which are only researched.
4.Follow turn-by-turn guidance
Starting guidance requests a fresh route from your live position through the charging stops you have not yet reached, then follows the car with a pitched, course-aligned camera.
If you leave the route, VoltaAMP reroutes after three consecutive confirmed off-route positions. It keeps the screen awake while guiding, and tells you clearly if location permission is unavailable rather than guessing.
5.Check community signals
Members publish two-hour check-ins about connector availability and queues, and report road events such as closures and hazards. Other members confirm or dispute them.
Confidence is calculated from independent, trust-weighted votes with a three-vote minimum, and nobody can vote on their own report.
6.Contribute back
Report a station that is wrong or missing, publish a check-in when you charge, and confirm or dispute what others report. Public submissions are validated, deduplicated, and rate limited before reaching a reviewed moderation queue.
7.Install it and use it offline
VoltaAMP can be installed to your home screen. Once installed, the map shell and previously viewed basemap tiles open without a connection, and a bilingual offline notice replaces anything that genuinely needs the network.
Account, profile, and admin pages are never cached, so nothing personal is left behind on a shared device.
