Community Content Policy
VoltaAMP's road events, check-ins, listings, and station reports are only useful if members can trust them and trust each other. These are the rules that keep them trustworthy.
Effective 4 October 2026
1.Who this applies to
This policy covers everything members and readers contribute to VoltaAMP: road events, station check-ins, confirmations and disputes, station corrections and missing-station suggestions, home charger listings and their photos, location-request messages and host replies, shared trips, Driver network emoji messages, and the names members show. VoltaAMP is operated by ALMA Studio.
VoltaAMP has no chat and no free-text direct messages. The only text members send each other is one location-request message and one host reply. Members who share their live location with each other can also send emoji from a fixed set of twelve.
2.What you can contribute
- Road events you have observed yourself, placed as accurately as you can.
- Station check-ins describing connector availability and queue conditions at the moment you were there.
- Corrections to a station's name, address, connectors, power, pricing, hours, or operational status.
- Stations that exist but are missing from VoltaAMP, located precisely.
- Confirmations or disputes of other members' contributions, based on your own observation.
- Home charger listings for a charger you own or are allowed to rent out, described accurately and with real photos of the charger and its access.
3.Accuracy expectations
Report what you saw, when you saw it. Do not report from hearsay, from a screenshot, or from another app. If you are unsure, say so in the details rather than guessing.
Check-ins are deliberately short-lived because charging conditions change quickly. Do not publish a check-in for a station you are not at.
4.Prohibited content
- False, exaggerated, or invented reports, including reports intended to damage a competitor.
- Personal data about other people, including names, plate numbers, photographs of identifiable people, or contact details.
- Phone numbers, email addresses, links, social or messaging handles, bank details, or payment details in any public text. Contact details are shared only through the host-approved location request.
- Listing photos that show people, licence plates, or documents.
- Hateful, harassing, threatening, discriminatory, sexual, or violent content, and insults or slurs in any language.
- Advertising, spam, referral links, or promotional material.
- Content that infringes someone else's rights, including copyright.
- Using Driver network or emoji messages to follow, intimidate, or harass someone, or to keep contacting someone who has asked you to stop.
- Fraud or scams, and pretending to be another person, a business, or VoltaAMP.
- Anything that sexualises, exploits, or endangers children. We remove it, permanently suspend the account, and report it to the authorities, as set out on the Child safety page.
- Anything unlawful under Jordanian law.
5.Automatic checks
Before any text is published, VoltaAMP checks it automatically, in Arabic and English, for abusive language and for contact or payment details. If it finds any, you are told what to remove, and nothing is published until you change it.
Home charger listings and their photos are also reviewed by a person before they appear, and again after every edit.
6.Voting integrity
Confirmations and disputes decide how confident VoltaAMP is in a contribution, so manipulating them harms every driver who relies on it.
Confidence starts from a neutral position, requires at least three independent votes before it moves meaningfully, and weights each vote by the voter's demonstrated reliability.
- You cannot vote on your own contribution, and attempts to do so are rejected by the server.
- Do not create additional accounts to vote on your own or a friend's contribution.
- Do not coordinate votes to promote or bury a particular station or business.
7.Reporter reliability
Each contributor carries a reliability score. It moves only after a contribution reaches a strong confirmed or disputed outcome, so a single disagreement does not punish an honest reporter, and a run of accurate reports is rewarded over time.
Reliability affects how much weight your votes carry. It is not shown to other members as a public ranking.
8.Reporting content
Every road event, check-in, listing, location-request message, shared trip, Driver network message and connection, and public member name has a Report control. Choose a reason, and add details if they help. You can report public content without an account.
Reports go privately to the VoltaAMP team. The member you report is not told who reported them.
Outside the app, write to us through the Contact page. If content infringes your rights, send your takedown request through the privacy channel on the Contact page.
- Spam or advertising.
- Offensive or harassing.
- False or misleading.
- Illegal.
- Exposes personal information.
- Harassment or unwanted contact.
- I feel unsafe.
- Child safety concern.
- Something else, described in your own words.
9.Blocking a member
You can block the member behind anything they wrote. You will no longer see their road events, check-ins, or listings, neither of you can ask the other for a charger's location, and any location access between you ends. Blocking also ends Driver network sharing in both directions and deletes your emoji messages with that member.
Blocking is private: the other member is not told. You can review and undo your blocks in Security and privacy.
10.Moderation
The VoltaAMP team acts on every report within 24 to 48 hours, every day of the week. A report of “I feel unsafe” or a child safety concern is acted on within 24 hours and is flagged to the owner as urgent. A home charger listing reported as unsafe can be hidden while the report is reviewed; it comes back if the report is not upheld. A request from a person harmed by content, or from a Jordanian authority with a valid order, is handled first.
If you want to take a safety incident to the police, tell us through the report or the Contact page. We keep the report and its records, and give them to the police when a valid Jordanian legal order asks for them. You can also download your own report from Security and privacy and take it to the police yourself. If you are in danger, call 911.
A decision can keep the content, remove it, warn the member, suspend the member for a set time or permanently, or restore content that was removed in error. Administrators can also confirm, dispute, reset, or expire contributions, and can override a community outcome that is clearly wrong.
Every moderation decision is written to an immutable audit trail together with the administrator who took it, so decisions can be reviewed later.
11.Warnings, suspensions, and repeated breaches
A first upheld report usually leads to the content being removed or to a warning. Credible threats, sexual content, posting someone's home address or phone number, fraud, and impersonation skip the warning: the content is removed at once, and the account can be suspended permanently. Other serious breaches — deliberate manipulation of community confidence, content that endangers other road users, or unlawful content — can also lead to an immediate suspension.
A suspension takes effect immediately on every device, because session caching is disabled.
- Two upheld reports within 90 days suspend the account for 30 days, automatically.
- A further upheld report after such a suspension removes the account permanently.
12.Appeals
When VoltaAMP removes your content, warns you, or suspends your account, it gives you a statement of reasons in both languages: the rule that was broken, the content concerned, and the action taken. Signed-in members find it under Profile › Moderation decisions. A suspended member finds it on the suspension page, which opens when they try to sign in.
You can appeal a decision there within 14 days, in your own words. VoltaAMP decides every appeal within seven days and records the decision in the audit trail. If an appeal succeeds, removed content is restored, a suspension is lifted, and the decision no longer counts towards repeated breaches or your reliability score. After 14 days, or about anything else, you can still write to us through the Contact page.
